I think my favorite part of planning a pop up wedding is finding the perfect venue or location. Many times, couples will just mention something in passing, and I’m able to make it a reality for them. That was what happened for Kim & Trey’s pop up wedding. Throughout their relationship, they’ve loved exploring aquariums together, especially when they visited new cities. The Outer Banks has a gorgeous aquarium that recently underwent some amazing renovations, so it was fate. I knew an aquarium pop up wedding would be perfect for them!

Thankfully, the aquarium was totally open to our request! We were able to get in and out in an hour, after which the couple went out to dinner with their friends and family! This was such a fun group, and you can totally tell when looking through the amazing pictures Jonathan Pillow and his wife were able to capture.

I was so happy that we were able to create a wedding experience that was about not just the couple, but also their children. They loved being able to see the shark tank and check out the grounds. I mean, kids make everything cuter, right? These two did, for sure!

Kim and Trey chose our Joyous pop up wedding package, which included a cake and keepsake cake topper! We chose Mr. and Mrs. wooden starfish, which turned out so cute with a few extra flowers, don’t you think!? The flowers, including the bride’s protea bouquet, were created from Bloominous kits. I’m going to try and do a review post for them soon–that was definitely a fun experience, and I highly recommend checking them out if you’re planning an intimate wedding or event of your own!

Congratulations, and thank you!
